Cultivating Thinkers: Our 2024-2025 Impact Report

As we reflect on the past year, we are inspired by what happens when teachers, students, and partners come together to transform social studies for the future of democracy. We are excited to release our 2024-2025 Impact Report, highlighting the many ways that Thinking Nation is making a difference in social studies and civics education.

In 2024-2025, Thinking Nation reached more than 35,000 students across the country. Working with educators, we supported student empowerment in many ways. Our collaborations with organizations like WETA and the National Archives Foundation strengthened our commitment to connecting classrooms with authentic historical inquiry and civic engagement.

This year’s report also highlights how Thinking Nation writing data correlates with state writing assessments. When students learn to think historically, they also strengthen the literacy skills that matter across every subject.

We launched our Practice AP Exams to make test prep more accessible and equitable. Our focus on place-based civics helped students see how history connect to their local communities. These lessons built relevance, belonging, and thoughtful civic participation.

Together, we are empowering students to engage thoughtfully, supporting teachers through data-driven collaboration, and transforming social studies education from a content to a discipline.
